TIME MACHINE!
Since the year 2000, two men have been working in areas of physics with intentions that were once thought to be the realm of science fiction - the ability to manipulate time! Marshall Barnes, R&D Eng was working in the area of electromagnetic field theory with the idea of effecting time with specially synthesized electromagnetic fields. Meanwhile, Ronald L. Mallett, PhD had developed a theory of a rotating ring laser that could create enough of a gravitational field that it could twist space and time. In 2007 the two actually met after Marshall had success in determining, with the help of Fred Alan Wolf, PhD that his research had resulted in the first functioning prototype for a warp drive. Marshall produced several events for Mallett, who was promoting his book, Time Traveller: A Scientist's Personal Mission To Make Time Travel A Reality. However, this year, after Mallett had still failed to raise enough money to build an actual working prototype, Marshall decide to take the obvious step to see if his invention, the STDTS, could be the engine for a time machine. After Mallett turned down his offer to become involved with his project, and other scientists and engineers supported his idea to test a new configuration based on torsion physics, Marshall proceeded and got positive, initial results.
Now the race is on - will Mallett get the funds to actually build his device and will it work - before Marshall scales his machine, the Verdrehung Fan(TM) to the level required to become a real time machine?
